The fact is, sometimes it’s really hard to walk in a single woman’s shoes. That’s why we need really special ones now and then to make the walk a little more fun (Carrie Bradshaw). Christian Louboutin Otrot 120 Colour-block (here), Black (here) and Orange (here)
Something about statement shoes isn’t it? The fact that you can pair them with your fave pair of jeans and a T-shirt and still turn heads, it just makes me think why can’t style be this simple sometimes? Some of us would never run late to meetings or miss that earlier train in the morning. I embrace the high heel in every form. I would jog in them if I could; the heel to flat ratio in my closet is about 20 to 1 although I have invested in a few lately, for the warmer days. I just can’t stand heels during the summer, as I sweat none stop therefore I just needed to… but I love the way high heels look and as well as the way they make me feel: taller, sleeker and more powerful. And I Know I am not alone. To me the key to a great statement shoe is in the detail. What makes them unique, the cut, the material and the colour plus I think they’ve got to be classic in that they last season after season
I have to say that I think when Marilyn Monroe came up with the saying “Give a woman the right pair of shoes and she can conquer the world” she must have only had a pair because let me tell you guys its hard out here to find that “Right one” am I lying? They all seem to be “perfect” and that is till the next one comes along, and the next one, and the next one…and say no more you know the rest! But trust me when I say a good footwear can be a powerful statement just look at Carrie Bradshaw for instant no need to say more, not to mention that it adds four inches to your height so what do you have to loose? Just weight! After hours of walking in them.
